Change of the system, return of OBUs, new registration

(15.11.2019)

The operation of the microwave ESVZ system will end on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 24:00 CET. The toll on toll roads in the Czech Republic will then be accounted by the new SEM satellite system. Both systems are incompatible, so all the user contracts of the original ESVZ system are to be terminated and the users followingly return their on-board units to the operator. From Sunday, December 1st, 2019 from 00:00 CET, all tolled vehicles on toll roads in Czechia must be newly registered in the new SEM satellite system and obligatory equipped with a new on-board unit.

How to return an OBU

The deposit will be refunded for OBU premid, that:

  • is not expired (OBU premid expires when there is no toll transaction recorded in the last 12 months)
  • and is not soiled or damaged.

Unspent credit balance will be refunded from pre-pay OBU premid in case it is not expired.
